Business Letter

Principal
Mr. Ron Major
San Pasqual Academy
Escondido CA, 92025

Dear Mr. Ron Major,

I am writing to you because I would like you to consider letting our dress code change. We are not allowed to tank tops but it gets too hot up here in the valley to be wearing long sleeve shirts. Since you are our principal I think you should allow your students to wear tank tops without getting on restriction.

I would like this change to occur because the majority of our students do not like the fact that we can not wear tank tops. I understand why we are not allowed to wear spaghetti strap shirts or strapless shirts but tank tops are different. Many of our students own and like to wear tank tops but we are not allowed to wear them at school without their being consequences. Each of our students is unique and has their own styles but the rules do not let them be themselves. I think that tank tops should be allowed but if students violate the change then the rule should be enforced again where students will not be allowed to wear them.

Thank you in advance for taking your time to read my letter and considering letting our school wear tank tops. I look forward to seeing children in our school wear tank tops. I also look forward to seeing less people be sent to the office for dress code and be put on restriction and having to change.

Sincerely,

Amy

Letter to daughter

April 20, 2010

Dear daughter,
I am really concerned on how much time you spend on Face Book. Instead of being on Face Book you should go out with your friends and hang out. The reason I am concerned about you being on Facebook is because I don’t know who you are talking to or meeting. There are a lot of dangerous people on the internet that pretend to be young and try to be your friends just to have sex with you and sometimes rape or kill you. I don’t want you to experience this so I am going to limit you to an hour on Facebook with supervision. Another reason I am limiting you on Face Book is because it keeps you from focusing on more important things like school.
I am trying to protect you from predators that are on the internet. I will allow you to have a MySpace, Facebook but I am going to have to check on your friends. I will only check your friends when I am concerned that there is something wrong. I do not want you to be posting scandalous pictures that can attract people. I also don’t want you to be posting or sending your address or any information about yourself to anyone. Remember I am not trying to invade your personal space but I just want you to be cautious. If anyone adds you on MySpace, Facebook, etc. that you don’t know make sure they are who they say there are. Stop talking to them if they try to make you feel uncomfortable and they promise you things if you go with them.
I want you to obey these rules and most importantly be cautious of what you do on the internet because the internet is not to be taken as a joke. I am only trying to protect you and also help you learn so that things like this don’t happen to you or any of the people you care about. Be safe and remember be cautious.

Sincerely,
Amy Cruz your mom

Free Blog Post

This weekend was actually not that boring. I spent most of the time at home with my housemates and some visitors. We watched the TV and we also watch some movies like 2012. My house went on a food run on Friday to Target, McDonalds, and 711 to buy some food because we were hungry and we wanted to get off campus for a while. On Saturday I slept in and then I got ready. Joseph came to my house and we hung out all day and watched movies with my brother and other people from my house. We got bored so we went to the gym and we shot hoops!!! On Sunday it was a boring but it was also sad because my brother left for a week to San Francisco. I really miss him.

Earthquake....

Yesterday when I was sitting in the living room, at my house the earthquake began. I was sitting on the couch and it started shaking. At first I thought it was my roommate shaking it but then the windows stared shaking too. I was startled and remember my staff, Laura say “it’s an earthquake”. I ran outside and all the girls were running around screaming hysterically. I was so petrified and I felt like I was going to faint so my staff made me sit down. It was a 7.2 magnitude earthquake that hit Baja California near Calexico yesterday at 3:45 p.m and San Diego felt it.
