"Lamb to the Slaughter" Mary's Giggling
At the end of “Lamb to the Slaughter” by Roald Dahl, Mary Maloney begins giggling because the officers were looking for the murder weapon and they were eating it. They kept saying that the murder weapon was going to be under their noses and they were eating the lamb that the wife had used to kill him. She was also laughing because she had tricked the officers and the detectives that she hadn’t killed her husband and she was innocent. After the police leave the house, I predict Mary will cry because she will notice what she had done and kill herself too.
